Ali Stead

My name is Ali Stead, and I’m the owner and an instructor here at Guitar Classroom! It’s been my greatest honor to have helped hundreds of students learn to play guitar over the past 16 years of teaching. I started playing guitar when I was 11, and shortly after began performing. My band and I released our first album as teenagers, and we spent two years touring, recording, and writing professionally. I’ve had the privilege to play hundreds of live shows for crowds as large as 55,000 people, and to share the stage and studio with many prominent musicians across Canada. My mission is to help others learn to play guitar, and to give our students the best learning experience possible. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you learn to play!

Hi, I’m Jack Vanderlee! Guitar player for (I hardly dare to say it ...) some decades. Fortunately, music is ‘timeless’! I truly believe that playing guitar is keeping people ‘young at heart’ and connected with the next generation. In the Netherlands, where I was born, I spent my earlier years as a guitar teacher, musician, and sound recording engineer. After emigrating to Canada in 1999, I started an Alberta marketing company providing offline and online marketing, including music for Radio, TV, and Internet. By now, it’s time to give back to the community, so I’ve come full circle with guitar teaching, playing, and recording again. Without a doubt, I can teach you how to play guitar, how to play your favourite songs and most of all: How to make it fun. My promise: You won’t regret learning how to play guitar for a lifetime.
